As I was preparing to go for work this morning, my daughter
is watching “Phineas and Ferb” and one of the scene caught my attention !
By the way, to give
you some background, according to our friend wikipedia : “Phineas and Ferb is an American animated television comedy-musical series. Originally broadcast as a preview on August 17, 2007, and
officially premiered on February 1, 2008 on Disney
Channel, the series follows Phineas Flynn and his English stepbrother Ferb
Fletcher on summer
vacation. Every day, the boys embark on some grand
new project, which annoys their controlling sister,Candace, who frequently tries to reveal their shenanigans to her
and the boys' mother”.
As I was saying, this scene caught my attention: (I just
illustrate it through words, please try to imagine), Phineas and Ferb build that day a giant structure/machine wherein there are lots of challenges or traps
inside, their objective is to prove to their friends that they can go outside
that structure alive in just 15 minutes. They were inspired by escape artists /
magicians who do the same tricks. But the big problem was the program of this
structure/machine that they built was malfunctioned.
This machine created an unbreakable
force field which goes larger and larger and larger until it covers the whole Earth! The good news is, on
that instance, there are attacking
aliens who will invade Earth, but the “force field” that was caused by the malfunction
of the machine’s program which are created by Phineas and Ferb prevented the
attacking aliens to do so, what a blessing in disguise!
The lesson I want to share is that our problems or
challenges in life, although difficult, faith disturbing and overwhelming at that time, had a very significant role
to do in our lives or even to other people…a big blessing in disguise! Maybe we can’t understand at that moment why
is that happening or why it should happen, but as long as we trust God and
persevere, there is a big blessing behind that big problem! So every time problems
or challenges come, be thankful about it, ask God for strength to overcome and
wisdom to learn the lesson He wants to teach us.
As the Bible says in James
1:2-6 “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you
face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your
faith produces perseverance. Let
perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and
complete, not lacking anything. If any of you
lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who
gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you
ask, you must believe and not doubt, because
the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.”
Have a blessed day!
In Christ,
